Leaving Los Piletones

1/26
The Superbowl sounded awesome! I would have died watching the end of the game. But I'm glad the Patriots won! That's awesome about Holli and Lindsay's mission calls!!! They will love the mission! This week went good. All the young women and men in our ward went to efy so it was harder to get the members' help, but a lot of members stepped up and helped us out! We are super focused on just finding and teaching through the members! It is all we are doing right now. And we are starting to get a lot of referrals! Diego came to church again and really liked it. He is so surprised of how organized the church is and how all the members participate. He could get baptized this week but it would be a huge miracle so please pray for him. This week I started playing tennis again. When I was sick I didn't play for about a month. I am super rusty right now but things are picking up. He beat me in a tie breaker the last time we played. This week might be my last week in Los Piletones so I am going to try to play tennis almost everyday. Welp that's it for this week. Thanks for everything! Love you guys!

This week was awesome. I can't believe Max and Ryan were doing back flips! That's crazy. I couldn't hear the video of Jake so I still don't know where he is going???? Today is transfers and I am leaving Los Piletones. It is my favorite area that I have had in the mission so I will miss it a ton. Right now I am in Virreyes, Zona tigre. I will be Zone Leader with my trainer Elder Molina!!!! I couldn't believe it when President told me I would be with Elder Molina again!! I don't know if you remember him. I was with him my first 3 months. He is super small and he is from Rancagua Chile! I am so excited to be with him. My last week in Los Piletones went well. We had some awesome experience with investigators receiving answers to their prayers. We had one investigator named Yessicas and she is a Jehovah's Witness. We taught her about the Book of Mormon and she loved it but said her church wouldn't let her talk to us so she dropped us. But Saturday morning she called us on a pay phone telling us that she wants to go to church but she didn't want to be seen with us. So a member went and picked her up and she loved church! So pleas pray for her! She is super awesome. I hear my new area is pretty good. I have heard the members are the best here!!! I am super excited! Its very possible that this will be my last area in the mission but we will see what happens! Elder Molina says we really need to find so please pray for us! I love and miss you all a ton!!!

Oscar confirmed Milagros

This week went pretty well. Milagros got confirmed by her brother Oscar yesterday. It was a really cool experience. Oscar has like 5 months as a member so he was a little nervous but it turned out super well. Milagros has surprised me so much. When we first would teach her she wouldn't even look at us but she has opened up a lot right now. We have another investigator named Roxanna that is also really timid and we are struggling to teach her. She came to church and I hope she liked it. We are finding a little more but we feel that is our big struggle right now is find peope that will progress. We have an investigator named Jessica that is reading the Book of Mormon and is praying about it but she does not have too much faith that god will answer. She said she has gone to so many churches and asked god so many times but has never got an answer so pray for her. She is super awesome! This week its rained quite a bit. Right now its raining. Its nice to get a change in weather so I am loving it. I am still a little sick and its bugging me bad. Hermana Ayre thinks I have a sinus infection. I am taking antibiotics and its helping a little. But overall everything's good. This is the best time of the year here because its summer for all the kids so we have a ton of members that accompany us and help us out! I love you all!!!

Wow the cruise looked awesome! Sounds like you had an awesome time! I want to know if the missionaries you saw could speak English. They are very few Latino missionaries in my mission that speak English. That is super sad about the wife of the salt lake mission president but are you sure it was the salt lake city south mission? I had President and Sister Chambers. But that's a sad story. This week went pretty well. Like Sam said about counting their numbers we had the same change. We are only focused on baptisms, confirmations, lessons with a member present, progressing investigators, and how many members came to church. Also right now we setting the goal of baptisms as a mission for 2015 and to do it we are setting a goal of baptisms with the bishop and ward mission leader of every ward. And then we will add the goals of all the wards up and that will be our goal as a misson. The mission is completely focused on working with the members! We worked with a lot of people this week and only two came to church. Their names are Cristian and Diego. Cristian 17 yrs old and is the nicest kid ever. He is also hilarious. Diego is also pretty cool. We will see what happens with them but please pray for them. Right now I am feeling so much better. I was sick for a while and it was the worst. I lost a lot of weight and that's the last thing I need. That's crazy about Jazmin! You guys never told me she was going to Japan! Also Chelsea, Lindsay and Holli are all going to serve??! That's awesome! My guess for Jake is London, England. Chelsea- Argentina Buenos Aires east. Lindsay- Argentina Buenos Aires south and Holli- Chili osorno. Welp that's it for this week. Love you guys!

Milagro was baptized!

Whats up??? This week we had an awesome miracle! We dropped Milagros a bit ago but we passed by Tuesday and she said that she received her answer and that she decided to get baptized. Her brother got baptized about 6 months ago and he got to baptize her! He was so happy! It was an awesome baptism! We found a kid this week named Fernando. He is 16 yrs old and he lives with his dad. His dad was a counselor in the bishopric a long time ago but right now is inactive. He is super awesome but its hard for him to progress so please pray for him. This week I have been pretty sick. Its the first time that I have been sick in my mission so I'm grateful for that but right now its killing me. I've got like a weird cough that I've never had before. But I think it is slowly going away. Argentina is getting super hot and humid right now. Its crazy!!! Tomorrow I have interviews with president so that's always fun! President and Hermana Ayre are so awesome! Thanks for all the prayers, especially for Milagros. Keep praying for my area! Thanks for everything! Love you all!

Happy New Years!

Happy new years!!!! It was so fun to talk to you guys Christmas!! I had a blast! Since Christmas not a whole lot happened. Sunday Milagros and Milton came to church. Milton is a kid that works a ton so we cant really teach him but we invited him to church and he came and loved it! Milagros is getting along really well with the ward members and it is helping out a ton because she is still pretty timid but she is loosening up. Every six weeks our mission has a huge farewell for the missionaries that are going home and all the missionaries that are going home share their testimonies and things like that. In order to go you need to bring an investigator and its always an awesome experience for the investigators but this Sunday, we had the farewell and the hermanas in my mtc district shared there testimonies. It was super weird. I feel like I was in the empty sea(MTC) yesterday. I cant believe how fast time goes. It is getting super hot here. Especially humid. The nights are the worst. Welp that's about it for this week. Thanks for the letters and the pictures! Keep praying for my investigators and that we can find families to teach. Love you!

Happy New years!! New years here was good. We had to be in our house a 8:30 pm so it was just like a normal day. The 31st there were a ton of people drinking but the 1st they were all sleeping and the streets were completely empty. Dad about eating beans here i have never heard of that. In buenos Aries they don't really eat beans. I have had beans like once or twice in Argentina. New Years night there were just a ton of fireworks. I remember last year waking up to the fireworks but this year I slept right through it. But my companions said it was crazy. I really cant believe that it is 2015! This week was alright. No one is really progressing like we would like. We are trying to work more with the members. We know they know people but we are struggling to help them invite them. My companion is doing good. He is awesome! He loves to work! His Spanish has improved a lot! I love being with him. Welp that's about it for this week. Please pray that we can find the elect. I love and miss you all!!

Christmas time in Argentina

HOLA!!!!  That's crazy news about Andrew. I hope he goes back soon. This week was pretty good. We had zone conference and it was awesome! President Ayre talked to us a lot about doing everything through the members. The actives, less active and recent converts. Our mission has a goal of 2000 baptisms this year and we are close, so President Ayre is really pushing us to have more faith and expect miracles. We visited an active family this week and their niece  just moved in to live with them. She is from Paraguay and she is 16 yrs old. She went to church and she liked it. Her name is Milagros and she is awesome! She is a little timid but she is loosening up. Please pray for her. I am still playing tennis at least once a week. The last time we played he beat me 6-4. It was a long set. Its been so fun playing. It doesn't feel much like Christmas here. Its mainly because of the heat. In the stores there are a lot of Christmas decorations and all that, but it is just different without some cold. We do have Christmas music though so that's good. But I am still loving it!!! Mom I have not got the package yet. I hope it gets here. About calling, I am not exactly sure at what time I will be doing it but I will probably be doing it between 4-6 Argentina time. What do you guys think about that? Mom I love the pictures! Thanks for everything! Love you guys!

German Pancakes

HOLA!! How was thanksgiving?? Thats awesome that you guys played a family football game! I would of loved that! For thanksgiving me and my companions didnt have lunch so we made german pancakes! It was super good!!! Other than that thanksgiving was just a normal day here in argentina. Everything is going really well with my new companion. He is working really hard with the language so i am loving that. He is constantly studying spanish! I speak almost all spanish to him. This week we found a lot of new investigators but not a lot progressed. Saturday two teenagers came up and talked to us in the street and we invited them to go to church and they came! I think they are more interested in us being from the states but we are going to work with them so keep them in your prayers. There names are jason and darien. I played tennis again this week but didnt play too good. I lost 6-3 but the set took like one hour. We had some awesome games. My backhand is just horrible. Thats about it for this week! Thanks for all the prayers and everything else. Love ya!

The Baptism of Alejandra, Gloria, and Tito

Hola familia! How's it going? This week went pretty good. First off my companion is Elder Brady from Holladay Utah. He is from the same ward as President Ayre, His Spanish is alright. I am trying to find ways to include him more in the lessons. He is awesome and super funny! He loves our area La villa! Yesterday Alejandra and Gloria got baptized!! It was an awesome experience! I have loved teaching them. They have both changed so much! I know that your prayers helped them out a ton so thanks for that.  Right now we really need to find more people to teach. We are finding quite a bit of people then dropping them right away.  Tito was also baptized. He is an awesome kid. I want him to serve a mission in a year! The sad thing about him is he is moving to Bolivia this week so we have one more week with him. His baptism was awesome also!
That's about it for this week. Sorry it is so short. Have a happy thanksgiving! Love you guys!!!!
